Relaxed and friendly. However the Gallery was very busy which meant that it was not always possible to stay together and discuss the painting as a group.

I really enjoyed it. I was initially thinking of cancelling as I didn't fancy 2 hours up Carlton Hill outside. I'm glad the venue changed to the national gallery cafe and hope meetings can continue there. Definitely an indoor space would be best. Robyn was so lovely and had a few suggestions for everyone's work as it took shape. The small group worked well around a table. If the group size grows then not so easy for Robyn to see everyone unless it's a big table.

Title or Location: Flamingo Music Logo
Hello there, I am not a professional graphics designer, but some time ago a friend asked me to come up with an idea for a logo for a music business. I initially drew a design in pencil and ink and then added a few colours with acrylic paint. If I was going to develop the idea further, I would use an electronic graphics design package to reproduce and enhance the logo. It seems that there is quite a range of powerful graphics design software packages and tools available.

Title or Location: Storm over the coast
Being born and brought up in Scotland I almost prefer stormy winter seas. The power of the waves makes you realise how small and humble we are compared to nature. This picture was painted in acrylics using a brush, strip of credit card and a pallette knife. I loved creating the spray on the rocks.

The "Waverley Breakdown" paintings are a series of paintings im currently working on for a good friend and local Edinburgh musician, Birnham J Wood. He is currently working on an EP with the same title and was looking for images of the station with a sense of loss and bewilderment. There will be another few before the final piece is completed.

Title or Location: The Girls
This is Isla, Ellie and Millie. Oil on canvas 27.5 inches x 39.5. They are my friends daughters. I often ask how 'the girls' are doing and there's always a funny story. Isla is full of mischief. Ellie is the sassy budding artist and Millie is a 'little devil' in the best way. I thought it was important to try and capture each of their personalities by working and finishing one at a time. They are beautiful girls. This was a pleasure to paint and I feel it has really tested my ability. I've defin

Title or Location: Memories of Bassano Del Grappa
A beautiful town in northern Italy - a town who protected partisans during WW2 and suffered the loss of all men and boys as retribution. Today it still bears the marks of war on the walls of the town, with the wooden bridge having been rebuilt a number of times due to war. This mosaic commission was created for a much happier reason, to commemorate a long held friendship between two families, here in Australia and there in Italy. Entirely created with hand cut pieces of glass.
