Relaxed and friendly. However the Gallery was very busy which meant that it was not always possible to stay together and discuss the painting as a group.

I really enjoyed it. I was initially thinking of cancelling as I didn't fancy 2 hours up Carlton Hill outside. I'm glad the venue changed to the national gallery cafe and hope meetings can continue there. Definitely an indoor space would be best. Robyn was so lovely and had a few suggestions for everyone's work as it took shape. The small group worked well around a table. If the group size grows then not so easy for Robyn to see everyone unless it's a big table.

Title or Location: End of the line
From one of my photos. Acrylic on canvas. Had been a bad day on holiday. Caught the bus back from Kendal to Keswick and stopped off to grab a drink. Wandered around the bus station and walked into the station the end of the line summed up the day. It is a painting that has challenged me, learning a lot on straight edges and shadows. Painting for a couple of years but only a year with acrylic. Still a long way to go. But very happy with the perspective of this which just pulls you in

Title or Location: Flamingo Music Logo
Hello there, I am not a professional graphics designer, but some time ago a friend asked me to come up with an idea for a logo for a music business. I initially drew a design in pencil and ink and then added a few colours with acrylic paint. If I was going to develop the idea further, I would use an electronic graphics design package to reproduce and enhance the logo. It seems that there is quite a range of powerful graphics design software packages and tools available.

?The Cajun Riviera?20? x 20? Mixed Media on Gallery Canvas(Acrylic and Posca Markers)The painting was inspired from a photograph I took on a fly fishing with a buddy of my mine. He knew the owners of the camp. It?s located in Barataria, Louisiana. The camp was sketched proportionally to the one in the photograph. The colors of the camp and landscape creation was mine. After I completed the piece I was puzzled. I called my buddy for a question?Me: Hey! How does the owners get i

My new painting In the Midst Of the Golden Sea, oil on panel, 9x12. This is the wheat field I'm driving by to work every day. This year I really wanted to capture it before it's harvested. That tree in the middle is like a guardian watching over the gold It was getting close to sunset time, so the light was especially warm, resting on the yellow-golden fields, reflecting red on the background trees, perfectly contrasting the blue skies. It was such a harmony in colors, that I couldn't resist, an

Title or Location: Golden Hour on the Tower
One of our favorite places to watch the sunset is in front of this tower at Nokomis Beach. This painting started as a small watercolor plein air sketch. I really enjoyed it and wanted to do a larger painting in oil of that magical moment when there are just a few fleeting seconds of light left. The light changes dramatically, so I used a photograph as a reference to bring this painting to life.
